Tree or shrub reaching up to 25 m tall, characterized by white bark and glabrous young shoots. Leaves are petiolate and coriaceous or subcoriaceous, with a lamina measuring 7–10.5 (–13) cm long and 2.75–5 (–6.5) cm wide. They are elliptic to oblong- or ovate-elliptic in shape, featuring an entire margin, a cuneate base, and a shortly acuminate or subacute apex. The foliage is glabrous with 5–7 pairs of distinct lateral veins and petioles 4–8 (–10) mm long. Flowers are dioecious and 5-merous.
