Herbaceous plant (annual, biennial, or perennial), caulescent, with branching stems and slender taproots. Leaves alternate and pinnately trifoliolate. Inflorescence a loose, regularly compound umbel with terminal and lateral peduncles. Involucral bracts usually minute or absent; rays are few to numerous, spreading-ascending, and glabrous. Involucel bractlets are small or absent; pedicels are spreading. Sepals usually minute or absent; petals white with acute, inflexed apices, subequal or nearly so. Styles slender, with a conic or low-conic stylopodium. Fruit glabrous, oblong to orbicular, ellipsoid, or ovoid, narrower at the apex and rounded or cordate at the base, somewhat compressed laterally and constricted at the commissure.
