Stem prostrate, slender, branched, and glabrous. Leaves are alternate and entire, with petioles 0.5–2 cm long. The blade is reniform to ovate, measuring approximately 2–5 cm, and is 3-nerved from the base. The upper leaf surface is glabrous, while the lower surface is glaucous; the base is deeply cordate, the margins are minutely crisped, and the apex is rounded to broadly acute.The flower is solitary and irregular. The fruit is an oblong-ellipsoid, 12-ribbed capsule reaching up to 3.7 cm in length, which dehisces septicidally into six valves. The seeds are deltoid with a slightly cordate base and are up to 6 mm long.
